Our verdict. Bahrain's Golden Residency suits a buyer who wants a ten-year Gulf residence for a smaller outlay than the UAE asks: one or more properties worth BHD 130,000 in total, a threshold cut from BHD 200,000 on 26 November 2025. The permit covers a spouse, children and parents, is processed in five working days and comes with no personal income tax. The catch is that the route sets no path to permanent residence or citizenship, and the application needs Bahraini health insurance and six months of bank statements. Compared with the UAE Golden Visa, the threshold is under two-thirds, and the permit runs the same ten years.
