The routes to living in Antigua and Barbuda.

Our verdict. Antigua and Barbuda suits a family that wants a second passport through property: approved real estate of US$300,000, held for five years, grants citizenship on approval, and the family can include financially dependent children up to 30, dependent parents and grandparents over 55, and unmarried siblings. There is no personal income tax. The drawback is travel: since 1 January 2026 the United States has issued no new visitor, student or immigrant visas to Antigua and Barbuda nationals. Citizens must also spend at least five days in the country in their first five years, and a bill would make that 30 days. Against St Kitts and Nevis, the property minimum is US$25,000 lower.
